Dr. Charlotte Wirges, family medicine physician, is the Medical Director for the Clinic. She received her medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

As a family medicine physician, Dr. Wirges is trained to meet the diverse health needs of children and adults of all ages.

Dr. Zinnecker is married with two children and enjoys playing tennis, water skiing, snow skiing, reading and gardening.

Michelle Hunter, APRN was born and raised in Oxford, Nebraska. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2000. In 2007, Michelle received her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. Throughout the course of her career, she has taught BSN students at UNMC. She also volunteers as a preceptor for Nursing and Nurse Practitioner students and is a member of AWONN and NNP.

Michelle and her husband, Travis, live in Holdrege with their children, McKenna, Max, Amelia and Alivia. Their family attends Trinity church where Michelle is a Sunday School teacher. Their family enjoys boating every chance they get!

After completing her undergraduate studies, she was presented the Distinguished Graduate Recognition Award and went on to earn her medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in Omaha. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at Broadlawn Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. She is a member of the Holdrege Rotary Club. Her and her family are active members of their church.

Panter, a doctoral prepared nurse practitioner with dual board certifications of Acute Care and Primary Pediatric, believes in an individualized approach when it comes to her patients.

“A patient is an individual, a member of a family, a member of a larger community,” states Panter, “each requires a varied amount of physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual support. It is my calling to provide individualized care to patients of all ages.”

In addition to treating common illnesses in children and adults, Panter specializes in endocrinology disorders and complicated diabetes treatments. Most common endocrinology treatments include diabetes, thyroid disease, obesity, hormone therapy and hyperlipidemia management. Complicated diabetes treatments include insulin pump and continuous blood glucose monitoring.

Panter is a published research and national speaker. She is also a member of the American Diabetes Association, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Association of Diabetes Educators, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

Native to Nebraska, Panter lives in Axtell with her four daughters. She is an avid sports enthusiast and enjoys watching her daughters participate in many high school and collegiate activities including volleyball, basketball, and track.

Dr. Egger is a member of the American Board of Family Medicine. He recently completed his family medicine residency at Lincoln Family Medicine in Lincoln, Nebraska. He received his undergraduate degree in exercise science from Nebraska Wesleyan University where he was awarded for excellence in academia and football from the Great Plains Athletic Conference. His master’s degree in bioethics and doctorate of osteopathic medicine were obtained from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri.

“I believe patient care should be proactive and not reactive,” stated Dr. Egger, “focusing on prevention is the most important part of medicine and a healthy community.”

Dr. Egger will provide a multitude of services including, obstetrics, family practice, wellness for pediatric, adult and geriatrics, endoscopy, vasectomy, osteopathic manipulative treatments, skin lesion removal and joint injections.

Dr. Carlston is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Prior to completing his residency at St. Joseph Medical Center in Houston, Texas, he received his doctorate of podiatric medicine from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine. He fulfills his passion for volunteering through the Special Olympics, a medical mission trip to San Miguel de Allende in Mexico and a service mission to southern Italy.

 

“Patient care should be the number one priority,” stated Dr. Carlston, “I take a conservative approach that is always individualized and educational for my patient.”
